The 40-year-old woman from Shahpur fitted the tracking device after her husband’s behaviour raised doubts. GPS logs allegedly showed the bike parked at a hotel in Gandhigram for hours on March 1 last year. The digital trail picked up again on April 4, allegedly showing the bike back at the same hotel. By May 9, the wife had had enough. The drama reached a boiling point on May 31.

The logs allegedly exposed several of his secret hotel visits, leading her to confront him at a hotel on Airport Road, where she allegedly caught him with another woman. A heated face-off ensued, during which the husband allegedly pushed her. It didn’t take long for the tech-savvy wife to hit pay dirt. Spotting the bike’s location, she stormed the hotel with a relative. CCTV camera footage showed her husband allegedly fleeing the scene in haste. The hotel, however, refused to hand over the footage. After turning off his phone and shutting down the CCTV cameras at his shop, the husband thought he was off the grid. But he had no clue about the GPS device. The wife tracked his bike to a hotel on Airport Road. She took her three kids and left for the hotel only to catch him red-handed with another woman. When his wife tried to block them, he allegedly shoved her out of the way and fled. The woman called the emergency helpline and lodged a complaint with Women’s Police Station (West), alleging dowry torture, physical beatings, mental agony, and constant threats of divorce after marriage counselling failed.
