A video has emerged on social media showing Shalu Minocha dancing at a lounge in Kanpur. This footage was recorded on the same night her father-in-law, Vineet Minocha, was murdered. The incident has drawn significant attention as details surrounding the case continue to unfold.
Shalu Minocha is seen dancing to ‘Tum To Dhokhebaaz Ho, Vaada Karke Bhool Jaate Ho’ on the same night her 63-year-old father-in-law, Vineet Minocha, is allegedly being attacked at their apartment. The video, recorded by lounge staff, shows Shalu and her husband Subrat at Cosmozin Lounge in Tilak Nagar on the night of September 5. The lounge is packed with around 20-25 people, mostly couples, dancing to Bollywood songs. The murder allegedly took place between 10.30pm on September 5 and 3am on September 6, while Vineet was alone in the family’s four-room apartment in Kalyanpur. Investigators said she approached Vishal Gautam, a former employee at Vineet’s pharmaceutical store, and allegedly offered him Rs 6 lakh for the killing. Vishal allegedly brought in his unemployed acquaintance Raj Kishor, 30, and gave him an advance of Rs 30,000. On September 5, she allegedly informed the men that she, Subrat and their son would be attending a party and helped facilitate their entry into the apartment. Vineet’s postmortem revealed 26 stab wounds.
Police said Shalu handed Vishal the original key to the apartment so that a duplicate could be made. Police said Vishal and Raj hid inside a bedroom and were allegedly instructed to suffocate Vineet with a pillow so that his death would look like a heart attack.
Police said the footage confirms the couple was at the lounge around the time of the murder. Police said the two men panicked and attacked him with knives before fleeing the apartment by jumping over the rear wall. Investigators claim she remained in contact with the men allegedly hired to kill Vineet through WhatsApp calls, messages and voice calls and even guided them while she was at the party. The plan allegedly failed when Vineet entered the bedroom around 11pm.
Police allege that Shalu had planned the murder after objecting to CCTV cameras installed inside the apartment around 15-20 days earlier.
