The daughter-in-law of a pharmaceutical trader is countering police assertions that she orchestrated his murder
Questions Arise Over Subrat’s Involvement in Shalu’s Murder Case
The family of Shalu, the victim in a recent murder case, is expressing skepticism about the theory that Subrat, her husband, is the mastermind behind the crime. They have raised concerns regarding Subrat’s lack of communication since the incident, questioning why he has not reached out to them following the murder.
Commissioner of Police Raghubir Lal confirmed that authorities are investigating Subrat’s potential involvement but have not yet found direct evidence linking him to the crime. “Subrat has neither been arrested nor named as an accused in this case,” Lal stated, noting that the police are currently reviewing his call detail records and other intelligence reports.
Authorities are particularly focused on how Shalu could allegedly maintain contact with the accused contract killers, Vishal Gautam and Raj Kishore, while planning the murder without Subrat’s knowledge. The investigation continues as police seek to clarify the dynamics of the relationships involved.
KANPUR: Five days after pharmaceutical trader Vineet Manocha was found murdered in his Kanpur flat, the case took a fresh turn on Thursday as his daughter-in-law Shalu Manocha’s family disputed the police theory that she masterminded the killing, saying she shared a close bond with her father-in-law and questioning how she could allegedly plan the crime while her husband Subrat remained unaware.
