Bengaluru: A city-based man who allegedly flew to Vizag and returned by road with ganja has been arrested by Gandepalli police in Andhra Pradesh . Around 10kg of ganja, allegedly meant for sale in Lingarajpuram and adjoining areas of east Bengaluru, was seized.
The arrested man has been identified as 26-year-old Abdul Karim . Two black bags containing 13 packets of ganja were found in his possession. AP police said Karim was travelling by bus towards Bengaluru when the vehicle was intercepted near Jangampeta. Police said Karim was arrested and sent to judicial custody. Another person, Ajay Kumar , has also been detained for questioning. He had come under DJ Halli police’s scanner months ago after being caught with 3kg of ganja but continued trafficking.
