KGF : A classroom dispute over moving a desk turned violent at a private college in Robertsonpet, KGF, with a girl allegedly assaulted by two male classmates. The incident, which took place Wednesday, was captured on CCTV cameras and later went viral on social media.

An officer said the matter is being monitored carefully as all involved are students. The three students are pursuing their second year of BCA. Trouble began when the two boys wanted a desk moved further, but the girl objected, saying it would inconvenience her. A couple of students then allegedly teased and tried to push her. Annoyed, she slapped one of them, following which he allegedly hit her in the face, causing her to collapse. College staff administered first aid and shifted her to a general hospital, where she is recovering. She later lodged a complaint with police. Two boys were granted bail. Download the TOI App.
