Tyreek Hill comeback delayed as doctors urge October return while NFL teams wait for answers on his recovery
For now, Hill’s focus is on getting healthy rather than picking a team. Rosenhaus made it clear that the goal is simple: Hill needs to be fully ready before he steps back onto an NFL field.
His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said there is still strong interest from NFL teams, but Hill and his medical team are not rushing the process. “He looks pretty good,” Rosenhaus said. Rosenhaus said Hill’s doctors have recommended that he hold off on his comeback until “perhaps sometime in October. “His doctors have recommended that he postpone his comeback until perhaps sometime in October,” Rosenhaus said. “There’s a world where Tyreek Hill never plays again,” Acho said.
Tyreek Hill’s NFL comeback will take longer than expected after his doctors advised him to wait until October before returning to football. The update comes after Hill shared workout videos showing him running routes and returning punts during his recovery from a serious knee injury. “I sent that [Hill’s video] to a couple of NFL teams and their reaction was, ‘let us know when we can sign him. You see him returning mock punts there, running routes. He is doing well. However, being able to work out is not the same as being ready to play in an NFL game. “So we’re playing on the safe side. That update also led former NFL player and analyst Emmanuel Acho to question whether Hill will be able to return to his old level. He questioned whether Hill could regain enough strength in both legs to compete at the NFL level.
