An eight-year-old schoolboy was fatally run over by a private college bus in Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar district, on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Rohit, son of Radhakrishnan , 40, a daily wage labourer, and a resident of Thiruvananthapuram Street in Rajapalayam, according to police sources. The Rajapalayam South police registered a case and arrested the college bus driver Ramasubramanian, 32, of Mamsapuram. Rohit, who was studying Class II in a government aided school in PSK Nagar, used to take the school bus. Rohit died on the spot. Police officials rushed to the spot and sent his body to the Rajapalayam government hospital for postmortem. Download the TOI App.
