Idols of Lord Ganesha Arrive in Prayagraj for Ganesh Chaturthi
Prayagraj is gearing up for the 10-day Ganeshotsav celebrations, with idols of Lord Ganesha beginning to arrive at various puja pandals. The influx of these idols started on Friday, just ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, which falls on Monday. This marks the start of preparations for the festive period dedicated to the Hindu deity known for removing obstacles and bringing good fortune.

The arrival of idols has intensified activity at pandals across the city, with organisers busy finalising decorations, lighting and other arrangements. Ganesh Puja celebrations are traditionally held in localities including Alopibagh, Kydganj, Muttiganj, Rambagh, New Cantt, Lukerganj and Preetam Nagar.
