Varanasi: Varanasi Police Commissionerate has secured 5th position in Uttar Pradesh in the August CM Dashboard ranking, marking a major improvement in policing performance and public safety.
The CM Dashboard ranking is based on 50 key performance indicators. Varanasi Police Commissionerate secured 1st position in the state in 22 KPIs and ranked among the top five in six KPIs.
The officials said that under the monitoring of Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal , Varanasi Police Commissionerate has made significant progress in policing performance.
In crimes against women, including murder, rape, molestation, kidnapping and dowry death, Varanasi secured 1st position in the state by ensuring 100% action in investigation disposal and proceedings against accused persons. In SC/ST Act cases, the Commissionerate achieved 1st position by ensuring 100% effective action in investigation disposal and proceedings against accused persons. In cases under the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, the Commissionerate secured 1st position by ensuring 100% effective action in investigation disposal and proceedings against accused persons. In fire safety-related work, including NOC and fire safety assessment, the Commissionerate achieved 100% action and secured 1st position in the state. In heinous crimes, Varanasi achieved 96.42% investigation disposal and 94.92% action against wanted accused persons, securing 4th position in the state.
