Separate law against caste killings soon, argues Vanni Arasu

Ramanathapuram: A separate law to address caste killings will be enacted soon based on the recommendations of the K N Basha Commission, state minister for social justice and VCK leader Vanni Arasu said after paying tribute to freedom fighter Immanuel Sekaran on his 69th death anniversary at Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district on Friday.

Meanwhile, ministers C T R Nirmal Kumar, K G Arunraj, T K Prabhu, Rajeev and P Madhan Raja paid floral tribute to the leader. After offering floral tributes, TNCC chief B Manickam Tagore reiterated that Rahul Gandhi would be the party’s prime ministerial candidate in the upcoming general election. Earlier, Immanuel Sekaran’s daughter, Sundari Prabharani, and her son, Chakravarthy, paid homage and urged the government to officially recognise all members of their family as legal heirs.
