Hyderabad: A 120-member team of Bihar Group-1 officers on Friday visited Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan and studied the functioning of Telangana ’s Prajavani programme. The team met state planning board vice-chairperson and state-level Prajavani in charge Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and observed the process of receiving petitions from the public, forwarding them to the departments concerned and monitoring their resolution.
She said a dedicated mechanism had been established to coordinate petitions with departments concerned and claimed that Prajavani had achieved a 74% success rate in resolving grievances. They said the Prajavani model was inspiring and that they would explore adopting similar practices in Bihar’s ‘Praja Darbar’ system. Vijayalakshmi said chief minister A Revanth Reddy had expanded Prajavani from the state level to district, divisional and mandal levels to ensure faster resolution of public grievances.
