Hassan: A 31-year-old homemaker who had come to her parental home to celebrate Gowri-Ganesha festival died after a KSRTC bus rammed her scooter from behind at NR Circle in Hassan city on Saturday. As per police, the driver said brake failure resulted in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Aparna DJ of Dodda Aladahalli village in Hassan taluk. Traffic police visited the spot and are investigating. Download the TOI App.

She was settled in Bengaluru with her husband Yogish and had come to her village on Friday night for the festival.

Both fell on the road due to the impact, and Aparna came under a wheel of the bus.

However, she had succumbed by the time she reached the hospital, sources said. a KSRTC bus hit the two-wheeler from behind near NR Circle While returning to her village on the scooter. Auto driver Kumar, who witnessed the accident, rushed to help, pulled her out and shifted her to the district hospital.

On Saturday, Aparna had come to Hassan with her friend Rakshitha to a hospital.
