He said he was summoned to Behala police station on July 15 and his car was stoned on the way out, with a stone hitting his head and damaging the vehicle. BJP spokesperson Debjit Sarkar confirmed Tarak had come to the office but said he was unaware whether Bansal had met him.
“It is a party office and anyone can come,” Sarkar said, adding: “If he has nothing to fear about his past actions, he can roam around freely — but if he does, he may be trying to touch some feet.” Tarak declined to say whether he had an appointment with Bansal or had arrived without one. Calls to Bansal went unanswered.
Kolkata: Trinamool ex-councillor and Kolkata Municipal Corporation mayoral council member Tarak Singh visited BJP’s Salt Lake state office on Sunday, apparently to meet party Bengal minder Sunil Bansal over complaints of alleged harassment by BJP workers and false police cases against him and his family.
