Under the guidance of CP Sandeep Karnik, the police have externed 402 habitual offenders on their records until Sept 27. Nashik : To ensure that the Ganesh festival is celebrated in a safe, peaceful, and trouble-free environment, the Nashik city police have launched a massive preventive crackdown across the city.
As many as 127 individuals have been externed across Zone-1 of the city police commissionerate. This includes 31 offenders from Mumbai Naka, 24 from Bhadrakali, 22 each from Panchavati and Gangapur, 11 from Sarkarwada, 10 from Mhasrul and 7 from Adgaon police station jurisdictions. In Zone-2, under DCP Kishore Kale, a total of 275 individuals faced externment action. Among them, 53 offenders are from Satpur, 46 from Upnagar, 42 from Nashik Road, 40 from Ambad, 36 from Indiranagar, 33 from Deolali Camp and 25 from MIDC police station limits.
Apart from the externments, the city police have intensified security measures through heightened foot and vehicle patrolling, focused surveillance at sensitive locations, continuous CCTV monitoring, and dedicated police bandobast. Warning that strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt peace or break the law, CP Karnik has appealed to citizens to celebrate the Ganesh festival safely and enthusiastically while cooperating fully with police administration to maintain law and order.
