We feel there is a bigger scam operating where WBMC has provided registration without proper verification,” said Rajiv Pandey, secretary, APHNH. “We demand a judicial enquiry into this allegation,” said Sajal Biswas, general secretary, Service Doctors Forum. “We have lodged a complaint with the health minister about these two persons with documents that we could collect and which suggest that they have obtained the registration numbers by providing fake medical degree certificates from other states. On Thursday, some doctors from APHNH staged a protest in front of WBMC’s office in Salt Lake, demanding resignation of members, including that of council president Sudipto Roy .
