Gandhinagar : The Gujarat govt on Monday approved road infrastructure works worth Rs 692 crore in Kutch and Banaskantha districts under its high-speed corridor initiative, aimed at strengthening connectivity in the state’s border districts and facilitating faster movement of industrial and commercial traffic.

Recent approvals in Kutch focus on the expansion of key roads: Pandhro-Narayan Sarovar, Lakhpat-Narayan Sarovar, and Dayapar-Subhashpar-Pandhro. These upgrades aim to enhance road connectivity between local talukas, facilitating safer access for both residents and heavy vehicles engaged in industrial and commercial activities.
The improvements are also expected to benefit pilgrimage sites such as Narayan Sarovar and Koteshwar, along with nearby tourist attractions. Enhanced road access is likely to simplify travel to these destinations, thereby stimulating tourism and related economic activities in the region.
