The kiosk was flung into the water due to the impact, but the bus stopped near the pond after hitting obstacles. The bus, belonging to School of Achievers in Shiholi, was carrying the children from Kanpur village towards Chhala to pick up more students when the driver felt dizzy and lost control of the vehicle.
The bus struck a roadside shop and a pan kiosk before moving towards the pond, according to Chiloda police. Police said all five children were safe and did not suffer serious injuries. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital after his condition deteriorated, police said.
A dog was crushed under the bus. Passersby rushed to the spot after the children raised an alarm and helped them out of the bus. Their parents also reached the area after being informed.
