Bengaluru: Voters going through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls have until Sept 23 to file claims and objections, but the process does not end on that date. Notices can be issued until Oct 12 and hearings can continue until Oct 22, giving voters who receive notices later more time to respond.
For Form 6 applicants, the booth-level officer (BLO) will visit them for verification.

A voter who receives a notice but also needs to correct details can submit Form 8.
“The Form 8 application for making changes in the details on the electoral roll during SIR will be processed post hearing,” a technical expert from the chief electoral officer’s office said. Those verifications have not started so far,” an official said.
