Hyderabad: A criminal case has been registered against a man for allegedly impregnating a 30-year-old woman in KPHB and later forcing her to take pregnancy termination pills.
She is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU, police said. The woman subsequently developed an infection, following which her condition deteriorated. Police have registered a case and are investigating the allegations.
They received a call from a private hospital informing them that she had been admitted for treatment, according to a complaint filed by the woman’s family members. On enquiring, the family was told that she was pregnant and had allegedly attempted to terminate the pregnancy by taking termination pills. He allegedly entered into a sexual relationship with her after promising to marry her, according to the complaint.
The family later learnt that the woman was in a relationship with a man. The family alleged that he was already married but concealed the fact and led the woman to believe that he was unmarried.
