Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a budget of ₹52.60 lakh to enhance security at key installations across the state. This funding will be directed towards acquiring specialized weapons and equipment for the Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads (BDDS) of the Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force (UPSSF). The allocation underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering safety measures at sensitive and strategically significant sites in the region.

Uttar Pradesh Enhances Security Measures Across Key Installations

The Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters and the Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force (UPSSF) are set to enhance security at multiple high-profile sites, including the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex in Ayodhya, various airports, Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) facilities, Lok Bhawan, Metro installations, and the Allahabad High Court.

These improvements will involve the procurement of specialized equipment, which must adhere to the Uttar Pradesh Procurement Manual and relevant financial regulations. The police agencies have been instructed to ensure compliance with these procedures.

Additionally, both the Police Headquarters and UPSSF will be held accountable for any financial discrepancies or audit issues that may arise from this expenditure.
