He said he wanted to be closer to his parents, who had moved back to Florida, while also pointing to the growing role of his space company Blue Origin in Florida. “Seattle has been my home since 1994 when I started Amazon out of my garage,” Bezos wrote. He said his parents had recently moved back to Miami, where he lived when he was younger.
