NEW DELHI: Abhishek Sharma celebrated his record-breaking T20I century in style on Thursday, removing his helmet, sitting on the ground and striking a meditation yoga pose after completing his hundred against Afghanistan in Delhi.
Abhishek’s century was also the fastest by any batter from a Test-playing nation. He brought up the milestone with a single in the ninth over of India’s innings. As soon as he completed his century, Abhishek removed his helmet, sat on the ground and got into a meditation yoga pose.
He also has 12 half-centuries in the format.
