BMC Tree Authority Seeks Nominations for Members
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Tree Authority is currently accepting applications for nominated member positions. Candidates with qualifications in agriculture, botany, environmental science, horticultural science, arboriculture, forestry, or related fields will be prioritized. Additionally, experts from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with relevant experience in tree plantation, preservation, and conservation, as well as retired government officials, are also eligible to apply.
To qualify, applicants must have at least 10 years of experience in tree-related fields, including plantation, conservation, and protection. Preference will be given to those who have worked in the environmental sector, particularly within NGOs, municipal corporations, or other relevant authorities.
The deadline for submitting applications is October 19.
Currently, there are 13 elected members in the committee.
