On Thursday, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah visited the Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple in Vadnagar, Gujarat, to offer prayers in celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The packs were designed by National Institute of Design (NID) and Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB). Prime Minister Modi is the chairperson of the trust.

The Somnath temple trust launched eco-friendly, reusable packs of prasad on Thursday. An official statement said several programmes, including blood donation drives and awareness campaigns, were held at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital to mark the occasion.A statement by Vishv Umiyadham said that thousands of lamps were lit at the stroke of midnight on Thursday to celebrate the PM’s birthday.
