Kalaiselvi said the Nanded-Waghala City Municipal Corporation has accepted CSIR-CRRI’s proposal to prepare a comprehensive mobility plan for Nanded for a 12-month period starting July 15, 2026. The institute has also received partial funding for the study.The field survey, which commenced on Aug 11, involves CSIR-CRRI scientists collecting data across the city.
“The field surveys are expected to be completed in approximately two months, following which the data will be processed and analysed, travel demand modelling undertaken, and appropriate transport and mobility recommendations formulated,” Kalaiselvi said in her letter.
