Kerala woman allegedly killed in US, mortal remains to reach Monday

Anjana Hari’s body, murdered in California last month, will arrive in Keralam on Monday.

The 35-year-old woman, a native of Mudikkode near Mannuthy in Thrissur, was killed in California on Aug 28. Her friend, Ann Mary Mathew, 40, of Kesavadasapuram, Thiruvananthapuram, was also killed on the same day. She had been working as a teacher in California for nearly six years, according to Anjana’s relatives. San Jose Police have taken into custody a suspect, who is reportedly a friend of both the deceased women, and are investigating the case. Her husband, Vijeesh, who hails from Vilangannoor near Peechi, is also employed in the IT sector there. Download the TOI App.

THRISSUR: The body of Anjana Hari, who was allegedly murdered in California, US, last month, will be brought to Keralam on Monday, Union minister of state Suresh Gopi said on Thursday. Vijeesh returned to Keralam on Wednesday night with the couple’s six-year-old daughter.
