IT and industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu
Hyderabad : Telangana govt plans to conduct the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu on the lines of the Kumbh Mela , with advanced command and control centres in high-footfall tier-1 areas and ghat-wise ground studies to strengthen arrangements for devotees, IT minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Friday at a cabinet sub-committee meeting.
Reviewing preparations at the assembly committee hall, Sridhar said lessons from previous Pushkaralu should be studied and arrangements planned in accordance with the expected footfall. Special officers have been appointed district-wise to ensure coordination, he said. An integrated dashboard should be made operational immediately to monitor the progress of the works, he said. Officials should set deadlines for every project based on ground realities and should not wait until Pushkaralu approaches, he said. As rains could affect arrangements during Pushkaralu, alternative plans should be prepared in advance, he said.
Collectors have been asked to conduct detailed ground studies at individual ghats and identify additional requirements. Engineers should be brought on deputation from the roads and buildings department and other departments to address any manpower shortage.
