Ahmedabad: The state govt on Friday ordered the appointment of four IPS officers from the 2023 and 2024 Gujarat cadres as assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) in different districts. It also transferred six state police service (SPS) officers as commandants of State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) units.
H P Doshi was transferred from his post as SP, Police Training Centre, Chowkey, Sorath, Junagadh, and appointed commandant of SRPF Group-13, Rajkot. L B Zala, DCP, F Division, Surat City, has been posted as commandant, SRPF Group-11, Vav, Surat district. Mansi R Meena, a 2023-batch Gujarat-cadre IPS officer, has been appointed ASP, Viramgam division, Ahmedabad district, according to a home department order. Mausam Mehta, also from the 2023 Gujarat cadre, has been posted as ASP, Deodar division, Vav-Tharad district. Prakhar Kumar, a 2024-batch Gujarat-cadre IPS officer, has been appointed ASP, Khambhalia division, Devbhumi Dwarka. Karankumar Panna, also from the 2024 Gujarat cadre, has been posted as ASP, Limkheda division, Dahod. Among the SPS officers, DCP Traffic (North), Vadodara City, J I Vasava, has been appointed commandant of SRPF Group-9, Vadodara. D M Chauhan, SP, Visnagar, has been posted as commandant of SRPF Group-3, Madana, Banaskantha. SRPF Group-15 commandant (asst commandant) in Mehsana ONGC, Prakashkumar Raval, has been transferred as SRPF Group-4 commandant in Pavdi, Dahod. B L Desai, Panchmahal, Godhra headquarters SP, was transferred as SRPF Group-5 commandant in Godhra.
