“On Saturday, his family’s courageous decision brought a new ray of hope to several patients.
He was admitted to Wenlock District Hospital. Dr Shivaprakash said Acharya suffered a severe brain injury after falling in front of his house on Monday. Following a comprehensive evaluation and completion of the mandatory brain death protocol by the Brain Death Declaration Committee, he was officially declared brain-dead on Friday.
