The organs of Prakash Acharya were harvested at Wenlock District Hospital in Mangaluru

A medical team from KMC Manipal successfully harvested two kidneys, which will benefit two patients currently undergoing dialysis. “Additionally, a team from KMC Attavar retrieved two corneas, offering the gift of sight to two individuals. “On Saturday, his family’s courageous decision brought a new ray of hope to several patients.
He was admitted to Wenlock District Hospital. Dr Shivaprakash said Acharya suffered a severe brain injury after falling in front of his house on Monday. Following a comprehensive evaluation and completion of the mandatory brain death protocol by the Brain Death Declaration Committee, he was officially declared brain-dead on Friday.
