Navi Mumbai: The local police arrested a 21-year-old college student from Worli on Friday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl with whom he was in a relationship. When the parents returned around 2.30am, they found their daughter in a distressed state and the accused hiding behind a bedroom door, police said.
Police said she had informed the accused that her parents would be away for most of the night, after which he allegedly travelled from Worli to her home. The case was registered by Vashi police under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Pocso Act , as the girl is a minor. After questioning them, the parents alerted police.
