Former minister Ramanath Rai and his personal assistant sustained injuries in a road accident

Rai was travelling in the SUV along with his personal assistant Denzel, who sustained a fracture to his right leg. Rai’s driver, gunman and two personal assistants were also in the vehicle. UDUPI: Former minister Ramanath Rai and his PA sustained injuries after the SUV car in which he was travelling was involved in a accident with a private bus at Sanur village under Karkala Town police station limits on Sunday.
No fatal injuries have been reported. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Following preliminary treatment, he and others requiring further care are expected to be shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru.
