Tragic Collision Claims Nine Lives in Eastern Province
A devastating traffic accident occurred on the Al-Uqair-Al-Uyun road in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, resulting in the deaths of seven family members and two others. The incident involved a collision between two vehicles, as reported by Saudi Gazette. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
The Eastern Province Traffic Department said its teams responded to the crash and identified a sudden swerve as the cause of the collision. The crash took place in Al-Ahsa governorate. The seven family members were travelling in one vehicle and included a father, mother, three sons and two daughters. The other vehicle was carrying two young men, both of whom died in the collision. Authorities are completing the necessary procedures. The impact severely damaged both vehicles, leaving people trapped inside the wreckage. Civil Defense and Red Crescent rescue teams were sent to the scene and worked to free those trapped in the vehicles. All nine people died in the crash.
