Tom Brady spent 23 seasons building a legendary NFL career, but his biggest financial milestone may have come after he left the field. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is now earning a reported $375 million through his FOX Sports broadcasting deal, surpassing the $332.96 million he collected in NFL playing contracts. Brady earned around $332.96 million in NFL contracts during his career, according to Spotrac figures cited by Sporting News. His broadcasting deal is worth roughly $42 million more, despite covering a decade rather than 23 seasons.
For Brady, retirement has opened a new chapter where his football knowledge is proving just as valuable as his playing ability.
Brady also earned three NFL MVP awards, 15 Pro Bowl selections and three first-team All-Pro honours. His highest reported playing earnings came in 2021, when he made about $39.4 million with Tampa Bay. By comparison, his FOX contract averages $37.5 million annually. He took a year away after his final NFL season before making his broadcasting debut in 2024, calling the Dallas Cowboys’ game against the Cleveland Browns with Burkhardt.
That puts his broadcasting pay in a league of its own, especially when measured against his career earnings as a player. Brady did not move straight from the field to the FOX booth. Brady, meanwhile, is now in his third season as FOX’s lead NFL analyst. His journey from a late draft pick to one of the game’s most decorated players helped create the profile behind his broadcasting deal.
