Mumbai’s police force successfully detained three individuals linked to illegal weaponry in the western suburbs
Police seized three pistols and 11 cartridges collectively from the trio, worth Rs 1.39 lakh. The first arrest was made by the Kurar police from Malad tekdi area at Malad East on Sept 18. Wajid Ali Malik was apprehended with a pistol and two cartridges worth Rs 36000 from Malad East. In two separate instances, Dahisar Police arrested Sandeep Upadhyaya, 34, a fabrication worker, from Dahisar East and Vanrai police arrested Rohit Sawant, 37, from Goregaon East. Two pistols and nine cartridges worth Rs 1.03 lakh collectively were seized from them.
