A former collegiate soccer player at the University of Texas at Tyler, she co-founded the Kansas City Current in 2020. CPKC Stadium opened in March 2024 after an investment of nearly $120 million. By 2026, the Kansas City Current’s valuation had climbed from $75 million in 2024 to $325 million. The club also leads the league in annual revenue, generating $36 million.
When he joined Sporting KC’s ownership group, Mahomes said, “Sporting is a community-oriented club, and I am excited to continue supporting the growth of soccer in Kansas City.” His wife, Brittany, has also played a central role in their business journey. Patrick later joined the NWSL club’s ownership group, turning the investment into a shared family venture. The club’s growth has been remarkable. The couple’s sports investments also include Alpine’s Formula One team, extending their reach beyond Kansas City and American football.
