New Delhi: Delhi Police seized narcotics worth an estimated Rs 5 crore and arrested 19 people, including six foreign nationals, during a 96-hour special anti-drug operation in west Delhi .
The drive, carried out by 15 police teams, targeted narcotics supply chains and street-level distribution networks operating across the district.
Police said the operation was aimed at identifying and dismantling drug supply and distribution networks in the district. Police conducted surveillance, gathered intelligence and carried out raids at multiple locations. Police also seized five vehicles allegedly used for transporting narcotics, including three scooters, an e-rickshaw and a motorcycle. Among those arrested were six foreign nationals, against whom cases have also been registered under relevant provisions governing foreign citizens in India. Investigators are now working to trace the source of the seized narcotics, identify suppliers and other associates, and uncover the wider distribution chain.
