Police said he was later taken into custody. In her complaint, the woman said Shaw had been harassing her for about two months. She also said he contacted her relatives and pressured her to marry him, while threatening her when she refused. Police said that earlier the same day, near Park Circus Crossing, Shaw allegedly snatched her dupatta and mobile phone and threatened her while she was on her way to her tuition classes. Investigators said Shaw had allegedly been troubling the woman for a long time and had expressed his feelings for her several times inside the college campus. Police also said he behaved indecently with her on campus and tried to touch her.
Shaw was also allegedly admitted to a hospital after he slashed his wrist with a razor near Minto Park in front of the woman. She alleged that he repeatedly called her from unknown numbers. The woman also alleged that Shaw once took her mobile phone by force and tried to access and copy her personal data without permission. He then allegedly slashed his wrist with a small knife in front of her. After she rejected him, he became angry and made obscene remarks. Police also recovered the knife used by Shaw. Kolkata: A third-year student of AJC Bose College, Dipak Shaw, was arrested from his home by Shakespeare Sarani police on Saturday night for allegedly harassing, stalking, threatening, and assaulting a female student from the same college in south Kolkata.
