The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver has now filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, reporting more than $3.45 million in debt against just $677,054 in assets. His November 4 filing in federal court also reveals something few would expect from a Super Bowl champion: the ring he won with Kansas City is among the valuables listed in his financial records. Rice owes more than $3.45 million, with over $2.1 million connected to civil lawsuits, according to ESPN reporters Nate Taylor and Michael Rothstein. His reported assets, meanwhile, stand at $677,054. The asset list includes a 2023 Mercedes-Benz valued at $53,800, deferred compensation worth $421,825, NFL jerseys and hats worth $5,000, and his Super Bowl LVIII ring, which he valued at $160,000. He also listed an apartment lease worth $3,500. In July 2025, Kuykendall’s attorney, Marc Lenahan, told NBC DFW that Rice had no money available when the first payment came due.

Because of his NFL suspension, while his probation-related jail sentence added another setback in 2026, he missed the first six games of the 2025 season.

The lawyer described the situation bluntly, saying there was “Nil” in the receiver’s bank account. Rashee Rice has a Super Bowl ring, an NFL career and a growing list of financial problems. But the crash and its legal fallout have interrupted his progress.
