Referring to Swami Vivekananda, he said 100 energetic and dedicated youngsters could change the country’s destiny. Nabin urged the youth to contribute towards realising PM Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
“Live real, not reels, and put the nation first,” he said, urging youngsters to join the anti-drug campaign launched by PM Narendra Modi . “Today’s youth may watch reels, but what ultimately appeals to them is what is real,” he remarked, urging the students to pursue careers in medicine, engineering, business or other fields with a commitment for national development rather than just seeking personal advancement. Nabin said the youth were not merely the future but also India’s present strength. He said young Indians were demonstrating their talent in areas such as space, startups, sports and technology. He said success is built on clear goals, determination, study, experience and patience.

Responding to questions from students, Nabin said India, comprising the world’s largest youth population, bears a unique demographic advantage. “The energy, talent and intellectual capacity of young people can take the country to unprecedented heights if channelled in the right direction,” he said. BJP chief said the nation must move forward collectively under the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. Drawing on examples from sports, Nabin said leadership was essential in every profession, not just politics. He said initiatives such as Vocal for Local, One District One Product, startup promotion and infrastructure development had transformed India’s economic landscape. Noting that Meerut is now known globally for sports goods manufacturing, he said India’s youth were increasingly becoming job creators rather than job seekers.
He urged young people to remain connected to their cultural roots while embracing modernity. He cited expressways, Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro projects as examples of improved connectivity creating new opportunities for development and employment in Uttar Pradesh. Download the TOI App.
