In a statement, party working president KT Rama Rao, former ministers Harish Rao , Vemula Prashant Reddy, Srinivas Goud and others said Vinay Bhaskar had gone to the hospital to meet patients who were injured after portions of the hospital building reportedly collapsed on them. They alleged that police stopped the former MLA from meeting the injured patients and behaved aggressively towards him. Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders on Tuesday condemned the alleged police attack on former MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar at MGM Hospital in Warangal.
He described the incident as highly objectionable and said the govt should take responsibility for the alleged assault. KTR said the incident was particularly concerning as questions were already being raised over safety lapses at the govt hospital. KTR alleged that Vinay Bhaskar was kicked in the abdomen and assaulted, resulting in an injury to his hand. He demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the incident and strict action against the police personnel responsible if the allegations are established. He urged the state govt to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured patients and immediately address security concerns at MGM Hospital.
