Bahraich : A 41-year-old Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) constable from Maharashtra , posted with the 59th Battalion, died on Tuesday evening after he was found unconscious at his govt accommodation in the Nanpara area of Bahraich.
Patil, born on June 5, 1985, was a resident of Patonde village in Chalisgaon tehsil of Jalgaon district, Maharashtra. Officials said he was staying in the govt quarters located in the unit’s family lines when he suddenly lost consciousness. The exact cause of death has not been confirmed. Dr Santosh Yadav, posted at the CHC, said Patil was brought to the facility in a dead condition and that there were no visible injury marks on his body. The deceased was identified as Gyaneshwar D. Patil. He was rushed to the battalion’s Medical Inspection (MI) Room, where medical staff administered CPR and attempted to revive him. When his condition did not improve, he was shifted by ambulance to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Nanpara. The attending medical officer examined him and declared him dead. SSB officials informed the concerned authorities and the constable’s family. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Wednesday to help determine the cause. He is survived by his wife Rekha, brother Gulab, and children Rudra and Aaradhya. Download the TOI App.
