Fortnite has dropped the first official teaser for Fortnitemares, the game’s annual Halloween event, confirming the spooky season update will arrive on October 1, 2026. Epic has not confirmed if a new Sprite will join the game’s collection of collectibles with Fortnitemares 2026, but it is likely that we will be seeing some Halloween-themed Sprites.
The teaser image features the Fortnitemares 2026 logo alongside a subtitle reading “The Game is Cursed,” with corrupted, shattered corners that tie directly into the glitch aesthetic running through the current Chapter 7 Season 4 Override storyline.
