Addressing leaders from healthcare, life sciences, technology and R&D GCCs at RISE Health Innovation Summit 2026, Sridhar Babu said India now hosts more than 1,800 GCCs employing over 1.9 million professionals, with 44% evolving into portfolio hubs with end-to-end ownership. Because it combines Telangana’s life sciences base of over 2,000 enterprises and more than 250 USFDA-approved sites with strong engineering and digital talent, he said Hyderabad is well positioned for the next phase of GCC growth.
Healthark founder and CEO Purav Gandhi said healthcare and life sciences companies are now deciding which advanced capabilities can be built in India. Healthark co-founder Sudeep Krishna said successful GCCs need domain depth, leadership, operating models and global integration. The summit, organised by Healthark, featured executives from Novo Nordisk, Carelon Global Solutions, Opella, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Roche, Deloitte, Bosch, Medtronic, Sandoz and others. The summit also discussed AI, analytics, genomics and biotechnology for affordable care globally.
