Vishwanath HM
Davanagere: For Vishwanath HM, 12 gold medals and the first rank in Bachelor of Engineering at Visvesvaraya Technological University came after years of sacrifice at home. At the VTU examinations for 2025-26, his efforts earned him the first rank in Bachelor of Engineering along with 12 gold medals, bringing recognition to his village, college and family. His younger brother, Shanmukha, working at a transport company, supported him through four years of engineering study, paying his fees and helping him financially. At college, Vishwanath emerged as a quiet achiever. He realised that understanding a subject was only part of the challenge; writing answers clearly and adapting to examination requirements mattered too. Jain Institute of Technology celebrated its fourth VTU rank through Vishwanath, with principal Ganesh DB, academic dean KB Prakash, department head Rahul Patil and faculty members honouring him.
