Dharwad : The Hubballi-Dharwad Police have put in place elaborate traffic and parking arrangements for Krishi Mela-2026, scheduled to be held at the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad, from Sept 25 to 28. Police commissioner Bhushan Gulabrao Borase said 13 designated parking zones have been identified for two-wheelers, four-wheelers and heavy vehicles to ensure smooth traffic flow during the four-day agricultural fair. Two-wheelers can be parked at the Yeetinagudda Grounds, Kannada Medium Boys’ School premises, Krishi Nagar Primary School campus, Dairy Circle Road, KVK Plot parking near Hanuman Temple Road, Basavanagar Parking-1 and Parking-2, and along the internal roads adjoining the main research stations.

Parking for four-wheelers and heavy vehicles has been arranged at the All India Coordinated Research Unit premises near the Chilli and Soybean Research Unit inside the UAS campus, the Horticulture Block, the Gymkhana Ground, and the highway-side parking stretch opposite the university, according to the commissioner. Visitors have been urged to park only in the earmarked areas and follow directions issued by traffic police personnel deployed across the campus. Separate parking facilities for heavy vehicles have also been provided at the Main Agricultural Research Station and the Regional Research Station (IARI campus) within the university premises. Borase appealed to visitors to cooperate with police and volunteers by using only the designated parking zones to prevent congestion around the university during the mela. Traffic personnel will regulate vehicle movement and guide visitors to the respective parking areas throughout the event. Download the TOI App.
