On Thursday, authorities in Ghazipur district apprehended three individuals, including a woman, during a routine checking operation near the tri-junction of the Varanasi-Gorakhpur-Maharajganj highway. The Kotwali police, in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, seized 1.015 kg of heroin, valued at approximately Rs 2 crore. This operation underscores ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
Three Individuals Arrested in Connection with Local Incident
Authorities have arrested three individuals identified as Rakesh Yadav, also known as Gama, aged 38; Krishna Bihari, known as Pintu Prajapati, aged 26; and Reena Yadav, aged 30. All three are residents of Chhawani Line and Mohammadabad. Details surrounding the incident leading to their arrest have not yet been disclosed.
