The Gujarat State Examination Board has scheduled examinations for non-teaching employees in grant-in-aid secondary and higher secondary schools. These exams, aimed at facilitating career advancement, will take place on November 28 and 29. Clerical cadre employees will participate in both lower-level and higher-level assessments, which will be held at designated centres in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
Online applications can be submitted from Sept 24 to Oct 3. Candidates must submit physical copies of the applications to school principals by Oct 5, while principals are required to forward applications to the DEO office by Oct 10. DEO offices must send them to the state exam board by Oct 17. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in each paper to qualify.
Employees who have completed two years of regular appointment will be eligible. Both exams will feature four papers covering school-related laws, financial matters, miscellaneous subjects, and Gujarati-English language and office procedures. General candidates will get three free attempts and SC/ST candidates four attempts. The examination will be conducted entirely in Gujarati.
