The campaign underscores the city’s commitment to enhancing sanitation and public hygiene.

Municipal commissioner Arpit Upadhyay said that the campaign aimed to create a clean and healthy environment in the city while encouraging public awareness and participation in cleanliness efforts. It would include intensive sanitation work, waste removal and maintenance of regular sanitation arrangements in different parts of the city. Mayor Pramila Pandey, additional municipal commissioner Jagdish Yadav, city health officer Ajay Shankhwar and other KMC officials were present. Download the TOI App.

Citywide Cleanliness Campaign Launches Today

A cleanliness campaign commenced today at Kalyanpur Crossing at 4 pm and is set to conclude at the KMC headquarters in Motijheel on Gandhi Jayanti, at 8 am.

The initiative will address road cleaning, drain cleaning, garbage collection, and the application of lime to combat odors. In addition to these activities, the campaign aims to educate citizens on the significance of maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.
