A 15-year-old Class 8 student was stabbed multiple times by his brother-in-law in Hasanpur, Bijnor, on Friday. The incident occurred near the student’s school and was reportedly triggered by a dispute over the keys to an almirah containing his sister’s jewelry, according to police reports.
Naresh , 24, a labourer, had married Jitendra’s sister six months ago. “When they reached about 30 metres from the school, Naresh attacked Jitendra with a knife.
Family members said he first went to their house seeking the keys, but the boy’s father, who has been suffering from paralysis for the past six months, told him they were with Jitendra, who was at school. Hasanpur SHO Amarpal Singh said the teacher allowed Jitendra to leave with him. The accused said the boy refused to give him the keys, after which he got enraged and stabbed him several times in the abdomen and other parts of the body,” Singh said.
Naresh then went to the private school and asked for the boy.
