On Friday, BJP leaders and workers in Prayagraj paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. The event marked his birth anniversary, celebrating his contributions as a proponent of Integral Humanism, known as Ekatma Manavvad, and as the architect of the Antyodaya principle, which focuses on uplifting the marginalized sections of society.
BJP Commemorates Upadhyaya’s Legacy with Floral Tributes
BJP Mahanagar president Sanjay Gupta led party workers in garlanding the statue of Deendayal Upadhyaya at Balsan Crossing, paying floral tributes to the influential thinker. Gupta emphasized that Upadhyaya’s philosophy of Antyodaya, which focuses on uplifting the most marginalized individuals in society, remains a cornerstone for public welfare and nation-building.
He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) aligns closely with Upadhyaya’s ideals. Gupta stated, “The spirit of Antyodaya is reflected in efforts to ensure inclusive development and deliver the benefits of government schemes to the last person in society. His philosophy of service to the nation, indigenous thought, and Antyodaya will continue to inspire us. Taking his ideas to the masses would be our true tribute to him.”
